This Plan is based upon self-declaration of conformity by the suppliers. Over the past years, the variety of licenses under the Compulsory Enrollment Plan (CRS) has actually grown substantially.

Also, the Ministry of Electronic Devices and Infotech informed Electronic devices & Infotech Goods (Demand for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021 in October 2012 for 15 groups of electronics items. On November 13, 2014, 15 even more digital item groups were included by the Ministry of Electronic Devices and Infotech. In October 2016, the Ministry likewise informed the Indian Criterion for Indian Language Support for Mobile Phones. One more 13 electronic product groups were included by the Ministry under this order in August 2017.
