Food safety regulator FSSAI declared on Tuesday that more than 500 hospitals across the country are accredited to be an “Eat Right Campus’. The aim of the program is to provide a sustainable, safe, and healthy food-related environments at different establishments and workplaces, which includes hospitals, as part of the FSSAI’s Eat Right India movement.
Food safety regulator FSSAI has revealed that over 500 hospitals across the country are now certified as”Eat-Right Campus “Eat Right Campus’. This initiative is aimed at creating healthy, sustainable, and safe environments for food in various places of work and institutions like hospitals. It is part of the FSSAI’s Eat Right India movement.
On the listing of accredited medical and hospital facilities, around 100 are government hospitals, FSSAI said in a statement.
SNM Hospital in Leh, Bangalore Baptist Hospital and Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, as in addition to Tata Memorial Hospital have also joined in the effort, according to the report.
FSSAI has developed strict standards and an extensive process to evaluate the qualifications to be certified. Eat Right Campus certification.
Eat Right India movement was created in the year 2019 as a major initiative to improve India’s food system, ensuring the health, safety and the sustainability of the food choices available to all Indians.
More than 2900 work places across the country are recognized as Eat Right Campus, transforming the lives of a multitude of workers employed on these campuses.
